A vintage framed & matted (under non-glare glass) paper lithograph charcoal print of a Native American elder by Southwestern artist Gary Roller (Taos, NM.) Gary is highly regarded for his organic, expressive charcoal, and graphite portrait sketches, and this one is wonderful capturing the nuances of a well lived human face.
This lithograph has wide off-white matting set in a silver-gilded wood frame. The back is missing its Kraft paper backing and the push points (pins) holding in the rigid backing board are mostly gone (only one remains.) a hanging wire is attached securely to back of frame. It needs some TLC yet, it is a nice piece from an accomplished artist worthy of a rescue. Looks great on an art wall.
Gary’s active work can regularly be found displayed in locations like The Ranch at Taos Gallery in New Mexico. His artwork deeply embraces Southwestern culture.
