Vintage aluminum workers’ / miners’ lunchbox (lunch pail) with original Excelsior latches.
Solid mid-century industrial piece featuring:
• Lightweight aluminum body with hinged lid
• Distinctive translucent amber Bakelite-style handle
• Two original metal draw latches clearly stamped “U.S.A. EXCELSIOR STAMFORD CONN.”
• “COOPER” painted in yellow/orange inside the lid (previous owner’s name)
• Clean interior with normal age patina
Condition:
Good used vintage condition. Exterior shows expected scratches, scuffs, light surface marks, and wear from decades of use. Latches and handle are intact and fully functional. No major dents or structural issues. Empty — no thermos or tray included.
