Beautiful vintage statement brooch featuring a large domed Dragon’s Breath art glass cabochon surrounded by ornate gold-tone metalwork, emerald-green faceted glass stones, and faux pearl accents.
The center glass is the star of this piece, displaying dramatic flashes of blue, green, gold, and copper that shift as the brooch moves and catches the light. The effect is especially striking in person and difficult to fully capture in still photographs.
The setting features exceptionally detailed dimensional metalwork with scrolls, beaded accents, and openwork detailing. The ornate construction continues across the reverse of the brooch.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition overall. The only age-related issue noted is color/coating loss on some of the faux pearls, as shown in the photos. The glass stones and ornate metalwork present beautifully.
