Up for sale is a lot of two (2) vintage Model 638 pocket dosimeters made by the Dosimeter Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio. These are self-reading, pen-style radiation exposure meters originally issued as part of Cold War-era Civil Defense equipment.Condition: NOS (New Old Stock) — Sealed/Unused
Both units remain in their original boxes, factory-wrapped in plastic, with the instruction pamphlet still included and unopened. These have never been used.
Dosimeter Corporation units are widely regarded in the health-physics and radiation-safety community as a top-tier, reliable design — the same style of quartz/carbon-fiber pocket dosimeter still used today in nuclear facilities, requiring no batteries and lasting for decades.
