The larger piece is modelled as a water buffalo / ox, with a removable animal-form stopper to the top. It sits on its original fitted carved wooden stand, which has decorative pierced work and fine inlaid detailing.
The second piece is a stylised carved bird.

Both pieces have an attractive hand-carved appearance and display very well together. The buffalo has a removable stopper and fitted wooden base as shown.
