Bauer Pottery started in 1878 in Kentucky but moved to Los Angeles in 1910 where they continue to make their high-quality decorative items. The Cal-Art line was introduced in the mid-1900s and featured matte and drip glazes that have become popular again with collectors of Mid-Century-Modern pottery. This little duck is beautifully modeled and has an off-white matte glaze. It measures 4.5 inches long by 2.25 inches tall and is in excellent vintage condition.
