Beautiful vintage Austrian Tyrolean / Alpine Trachten felt hat, Made in Austria, featuring an impressive collection of 23 vintage European and international ski/travel pins and a large traditional Gamsbart-style Alpine brush ornament. This is a wonderful collector\'s piece with years of European ski and Alpine travel history represented on one hat. The pin collection includes destinations throughout Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Germany and Canada, including St. Moritz, St. Anton a.A., Zermatt, Kitzbühel, Chamonix Mont-Blanc, Courchevel, Courmayeur / Monte Bianco, Cortina, Interlaken, Méribel, Männlichen, Lech, Axamer-Lizum, München, Bayern, Tirol, Zürs a.A., Davos, Blackcomb Mountain Canada, Lillehammer \'94 and others. The hat features a substantial braided green wool hatband and an impressive traditional Gamsbart-style brush/plume mounted in an ornate metal holder with decorative cream-colored accents. Gamsbart ornaments are a traditional feature of Austrian and Bavarian Alpine dress and hunting hats. SIZE - Notes in description only allowed me to pick one size. I did measure the inside circumference measurement and that is 22 inches with a brown leather sweatband with gold markings including “MADE IN AUSTRIA” and MÜNCHEN, along with the original Austrian/Jäger cloth label. The interior leather sweatband shows age-related cracking/splitting, which is clearly photographed. Pins and decorative pieces show normal vintage patina and wear. Selling the entire hat, Gamsbart-style ornament and all 23 pins together as one collection — pins are not being sold separately.
