This beautiful orange brooch is a Scandinavian modernist design by Aksel Holmsen of Sandefjord, Norway.
Dating from 1950s-1960s, it features an abstract, scalloped cartouche silhouette in a fiery orange enamel.
The brooch is approximately 1\" wide
Stamped on the back is Holmsen\'s maker\'s mark (located just to left of 925) followed by the word sterling.
The enamel has no visible chips or faults.
