Condition: Homemade scrapbook album shows heavy overall wear from age and handling: paper-covered boards are rubbed and soiled with extensive surface abrasion, losses to the mounted engravings, edge chipping, corner rounding, and exposed board, plus tears and old tape repairs along the spine and fore-edge; cloth tie at the fore-edge is partly present. Interior pages are age-toned with scattered foxing, adhesive staining, edge tears, chips, and creases, including areas of paper loss at some upper margins and corners that affect portions of text and musical notation; the front endpaper bears a faint, nearly illegible pencil inscription. Binding is fragile with some loosened or partially detached leaves, but the volume can still be opened and pages turned carefully.
