Condition is Vintage Preowned Very Good - there is some light wear to the frame. See pics for best representation
It was not framed in a quality frame deserving of this piece in my opinion. What appears to be canvas is actually an applied paper adhesive to the wood.
There is a brass nailed on placard reading \"STORMY SEAS, MAINE\"I do not know what lighthouse this is depicting in the background but in my research found he was particularly enamored with Ogunquit.There is a paper on back with more information on the artist.A few highlights: Thomas Valentine (Val) McGann was an Irish born artist from County Galway, Ireland. He was born in February of 1928 and died in March of 2016. He started painting at age 12. He was a true Renaissance man. He established himself in the US in the 1970\'s as an internationally recognized painter and athlete. He lived in Maine (as well as Naples Florida) and favored depictions of the natural landscape.This sweet piece on actual board, not including frame, measures approximately 9.75\" by 8\". Perfect for a gallery wall in a beach house and my hope is that it will find its way back to Maine.
