This rare commemorative piece was issued for a regional German shooting festival during the historic 1972 Olympic year, sponsored directly by the legendary Einbecker Brauhaus.

Niedersächsischer Schützentag in Einbeck/Olympiajahr 1972 / 14.-16.4.72" (Translates to: Lower Saxon Shooting Day in Einbeck, Olympic Year 1972 — April 14–16, 1972).
Features the iconic Olympic rings integrated into a target graphic flanked by two regional coats of arms (the yellow "E" representing the city of Einbeck and the white horse on red representing the state of Lower Saxony).
Side Design Details:
Features a beautiful dark green graphic commemorating "600 Jahre Einbecker Bier" (600 Years of Einbeck Beer) showcasing the church spires of the historic Marktkirche St. Jacobi.
Material: Salt-glazed gray stoneware/pottery (excellent insulating properties).
Capacity:** 0.5 Liters (features a pressed "0,5l." stamp and official calibration fill-line near the rim).
Origin: Made in West Germany (circa 1972).

Condition:
Pre-owned, vintage. 54 years old. There is a hairline crack at the base of the handle on the glazing. Nice glaze retention with a few bites on surface.
