Allen studied at the Pratt Institute and NAD (painting with Charles Curran, portrait painting with Moskowitz and Borgdonav, sculpture with Haffner and Monahan). She had a commercial art studio in Malibu for many years. Unmarried, she died in Ventura, CA on April 8, 1997.Current Exhibition: Orange County Museum of Art (OCMA) exhibition \"13 Women\" marking the museum’s 60th anniversary of the Mid-Century California Women Artists at its inaugural exhibition in 1962.
