VINTAGE HANDCRAFTED GEOMETRIC POTTERY SOUTHWESTERN / PUEBLO-INSPIRED – 3\" x 2.5\":
$34.99

Offered for sale is an attractive small vintage handcrafted pottery vessel featuring a rounded, squat body with a tall, tapered neck and open circular mouth.
The vessel is decorated on a warm tan-to-brown ground with bold black and reddish-brown geometric decoration. Large stylized designs encircle the body, including angular stepped and zigzag forms, broad sweeping shapes, curved elements, and dark linear outlining. Portions of the reddish-brown decoration are bordered in black, creating a striking contrast against the natural earthy ground.
The hand-applied decoration varies naturally in line weight, shape, and finish, contributing to the individual character of the piece. The combination of earthy coloration, geometric decoration, rounded form, and visible hand-working gives the vessel a distinctive Southwestern/Pueblo-inspired appearance.
The tall tapered neck is primarily undecorated tan/brown and rises prominently from the rounded body. The opening is circular and the interior appears dark and undecorated. A narrow dark line encircles the vessel near the lower edge of the decorated body.
The underside is rounded and plain tan/brown without the geometric decoration found around the sides. A rectangular area of discoloration/residue is visible on the underside and appears consistent with a former label, sticker, or similar attachment; its exact origin is unknown. No legible maker\'s information can be determined from this area.
The pottery displays natural surface and construction variations, including visible forming, finishing, glazing or surface-treatment variation, and firing irregularities consistent with a handcrafted piece.
No artist name, signature, or identifiable maker\'s mark was observed or is included in this listing.

ATTRIBUTION / AUTHENTICITY
The exact maker, age, geographic origin, and cultural or tribal affiliation of this pottery vessel have NOT been independently authenticated.
The geometric decoration and overall appearance are described as Southwestern/Pueblo-inspired for descriptive purposes only. This terminology is based solely upon the visible characteristics of the piece and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of origin, age, cultural affiliation, tribal affiliation, or attribution.
No representation is being made that this vessel was produced by a particular Pueblo, Native American artist, tribe, community, or pottery condition.
The vessel displays surface wear consistent with age, handling, and display. Visible characteristics include scattered speckling, minor scratches and abrasions, areas of discoloration, small spots of surface or finish loss, firing irregularities, finish variation, and other surface imperfections.
There is visible wear to portions of the black and reddish-brown painted geometric decoration, including scattered abrasions, fading, and small areas of pigment or finish loss. The neck and rim exhibit surface irregularity and wear consistent with the handmade nature and condition of the piece.
The rim itself is somewhat irregular rather than perfectly uniform, and minor roughness and small imperfections are visible around the opening.
The plain underside shows normal surface variation, speckling, discoloration, and wear. A rectangular darker/residual area is present on the underside, possibly from a former label or sticker. Its cause and significance are unknown, and it is not being represented as a maker\'s mark.
No obvious major crack or recent repair was observed in the photographs provided. However, because this is a vintage handcrafted pottery item, we cannot guarantee that it has never undergone restoration or repair or that minor imperfections not readily apparent in the photographs are absent.
Please carefully examine ALL photographs, including the multiple views of the geometric decoration, neck, rim, opening, body, and underside. The photographs are an important part of the condition description and show the actual pottery vessel being offered.
The pottery is being sold exactly as photographed and described.
