Appearance is  much over average. 
tiny scuffs and leatherette intact without  cracks and missing spot which is quite rare to find. 
It shows surprisingly minimal signs of wear.

■ Optics 
[EXC5] for its age

FRONT LENS:  Take lens looks quite clean and clear but may have the usual wiping scratches . You may use yellow filters to avoid any impact. View lens has a lot scratches as seen on pics.  The finder has not been opened and cleaned, as usual, because there are just a  dust particles and dirt which has no impact on image quality.
REAR LENS: Not cleaned, there might be light marks and scratches due to usage over decades.
There is no haze when seen with naked eye, I guess shooting should be OK.
■ Functional Near Mint

The main shutter on the middle fires at all settings and look accurate, the shutter works and speed look accurate. The counter works and flips back to 0 once the back door has ben opened. The focusing plane drives out smoothly. The mirror as some dust, view lens has a quite a few scratches. Blades are snappy, finder looks nice almost no color abrasion on edges. It opens/closes well and the magnifying glass is clean. mechanics are all OK.  NOTE : After a shot you need to push down the button on the right side under the focusing knob to release the forwarding knob. Only then the knob can be turned forward to the next frame.

TECH [NEAR MINT]: shutter fires at all settings and look accurate (speed up to 1/500!!), blades are snappy and clean!  All levers move smoothly , finder and back door open easily. Counter works, focusing plane drives out smoothly! Finder opens well so does the magnifying glass!!! OPT: This  RARE nice looking well kept F3.5 D-Zuiko lens has no haze nor old fungus stains  unusual for Zuiko lenses! Amazingly clean and clear. The rear lens has no major issues that would be visible with naked eye. Finder has a bit dust (not opened and cleaned), view lens is scratchy as seen on pics. It should be good for monochrome street photography. Stunning nice cosmetic condition! Great deal for a NONE serviced TLR Olympus Flex A3.5! Comes with a beautiful well kept genuine lens cap, yellow filter and a vintage tripod!
