How to Use (Basic Instructions):
- Prepare the surface– Clean thoroughly, abrade/grind to bare metal or sound substrate, and remove any contaminants.
- Mixing– Use the included hardener (typically added to the filler). Follow the standard 2% hardener ratio (about 1 inch of hardener per golf-ball-sized amount of filler – refer to can for exact guidance). Mix thoroughly on a clean mixing board in a figure-8 motion to avoid air bubbles and pinholes.
- Application– Apply with firm pressure using a spreader to fill dents, holes, or imperfections. Build in layers if needed. Non-sag formula works great on vertical/overhead repairs.
- Curing– Allow to cure for 15-20 minutes (depending on temperature – warmer = faster). Do not apply below 5°C/41°F.
- Sanding– Once cured, sand with 80-180 grit for shaping, then finer grits for smooth finish. Use a guide coat to spot highs/lows.
- Finish– Prime and paint as normal.
