Toshiba T3100e Pristine 1MB RAM 20MB HD Floppy MSDOS For Sale

For your consideration is this rare, pristine, Toshiba T3100e in absolutely amazing cosmetic condition and in great working order! This computer is equipped with an orange plasma display, 1MB of RAM, a 3.5\" floppy drive, a 20MB hard disk and an optional 2400 baud modem expansion module. Included are the T3100e, a power cord, the original bag (which is a bit dusty on the outside and requires a good cleaning) and a floppy disk with MS-DOS v5.

Overall condition: 

• The computer is in excellent condition without anything cracked or broken
• The plasma display is flawless - bright, clear and sharp with no lines on the display
• The computer boots as expected from the built-in 20MB hard disk
• The computer boots as expected from the built-in floppy drive
• The floppy drive has been tested and it reads, writes and formats disks as intended
• The serial port on the back of the computer has also been tested with a mouse and is in good working order
• The computer\'s riser bar is still present and in very good working order
• All rubber feet (and other rubber parts around the screen) are still present and in good condition - not mushy or deteriorated
• The real time clock battery is dead - the computer does not maintain time and memory configuration parameters once turned off. UPDATE: The dead clock battery, which hadn\'t leaked, has been de-soldered and replaced by a CR-2032 coin cell holder with a  fresh battery - which is much, much easier to replace, without having to de-solder! Additionally, these button cells are not known to leak
• All keyboard keys have all been treated with alcohol -  after many years of storage, keyboard keys on this model are notorious for either not registering when pressed or registering the same character multiple times. This is well documented, and the solution consists of pulling out each keycap, dropping one or two drops of alcohol in the key mechanism and then exercising the key by pressing it multiple time. Following this treatment, all keys on the keyboard work way, way better!

• MS-DOS v5 is installed on the hard disk
