Rachael Leigh Cook is twenty-year old Vera, a young woman who still lives with her parents in a small Montana town and really wants to be a model. When Sam Polvino (Ryan Alosio), a stranger in town claiming to be a representative from a Chicago department store, phones Vera to set up an interview, she feels that a more interesting life may be heading her way. But Sam is later revealed to be the carrier of some very surprising information about Vera\'s real parents-- parents she didn\'t even know existed.
