A great piece of American culture from the 19th. Century. Full of articles, humor, music, opinion, celebrities, advertisements, and fantastic examples of the printer’s craft. The outstanding illustrations in these collections are from multiple and well known artists of the time. A look at the table of contents also contains the names of authors still noted today. This copy measures 16.5” x 11.5” and contains a full year of issues…200 pages. Over all condition is fair-good. Pages are unmarked, hint of tone at the margins, there’s occasional/scattered, small spots/smudges, stains. No appreciable foxing. The exterior has corner bumps, some edge rubs, and some old repairs at the spine cover ends. Binding is good.
