Cloth hardcovers in green, gray-green, pale gray, and red cloth, with black stamped cover and spine lettering; no dust jackets. Includes visible black-and-white frontispiece/illustrated title material and J. Allen St. John illustrations/decorations in multiple volumes; Tarzan and the Golden Lion has dyed top textblock edge.
Condition: Mixed antique condition. General rubbing, soiling, fading, edge wear, bumped corners, and spine/corner fraying across the lot. Text blocks toned with soiling and age darkening. The Beasts of Tarzan has damage to the text block/pages, including heavy chipping, tearing, losses, and a large torn section at the half-title area. Some hinges/gutters shaken or worn. Tarzan and the Golden Lion appears comparatively cleaner and tighter, with light rubbing and bumped corners. Sold as a worn reading/collection lot. See photos for more details.
