VBR in MP3 stands for Variable Bitrate. It means the MP3 encoder dynamically adjusts the bitrate (the amount of data used per second to represent the audio) based on the complexity of the audio content at different points in the file.
In other words, keeping with the quality of the original source.
VBR encoders analyze the audio and allocate more bits (higher bitrate) to complex parts (like loud, busy sections) and fewer bits (lower bitrate) to simpler parts (like silence or quiet passages).
This differs from CBR (Constant Bitrate), where the bitrate remains the same throughout the entire file.
