It has a 13.8 inch scale length and weighs just under 2 lbs. This is a great mandolin if you already play another string instrument like guitar, banjo, violin, etc but is also great if you are brand new to playing and want to get started out on mandolin.**Please note you will receive a brand new instrument. It will need tuned 6-10 times initially before it begins to hold tuning and will take a few days of regular tuning before it begins to hold tuning correctly.
