Two hardcover volumes in the publisher\'s navy cloth with Stow\'s signature stamped in gilt on the front boards, in the original pictorial dust jackets (the 1616 Visscher panorama) under removable mylar protectors. Jackets are NOT price-clipped (8.50 net / 8 10s net for the set, with an old pencil scribble across the price on the Vol. I flap) but the spine panels are sun-faded to pale blue, with light toning and a chip at the head of the Vol. II spine panel. Foxing to the page edges of both volumes. Cloth clean and bright; bindings tight and square; texts clean and unmarked throughout with no underlining, highlighting, or ownership marks noted.
