Star 70b template/ blueprint marked on steel tubing. Detailed printed instructions are included. This is a proven and tested print.
This design has a couple option to aid in building the star 70b. You can cut as marked to allow a up to 1/2in ring at the front to help with material if the original front barrel shroud was cut crooked. The rear has a bout 2/3 inches of extra material so you can square up the original rear tube and weld it to this receiver as you please. I generally do it about a 1/2 inch forward the the folding buttstock hinge. The measurements are purposely on the larger size to be forgiving to possible errors while cutting it out. I advise to cut into the white metal area side of the lines\\ pattern.
Completely removing the original receiver tube is almost impossible due to the spot welds and the brazing on these things. this allows you to keep the original bottom portion of the receiver and replace the top without patch working in the horizonal cut. simply cut the old top section of the receiver tube following the lower couture and square up the ends. then proceed to cut out the shapes on my tube staying inside the white metal part. once you get it all cut and decide if you need the front ring or not start filing it into place. once all the functions and sizing is done time to weld. very slowly to keep the heat down. 1.37 copper or aluminum pipe inside works wonders. note... sometimes the ejection port needs to be widened or sized accordingly. hotter ammo like to go straight up while cheaper target loads like to eject out the right more. my measurements are pretty well on. in the pictures I used I didn't opt to use the extra material ring so it is pictured without.
