Up for sale is a scarce pair of mid-19th-century Spanish classical imperforate stamps featuring Queen Isabella II. These are excellent historical gap-fillers for an advanced European or worldwide collection.
Included in this lot:1. 1850 5 Reales Red \"CERTIFICADO\" Issue: Spain\'s historic first stamp era. Heavily cancelled with a dark ink strike as shown. Margins are cut close to the frame line but the design is completely intact.
2. 1855 4 Cuartos Carmine/Red Issue: Features an authentic contemporary pen cancel, historically used by smaller post offices. Decent margins on all sides.
