Used.
This is a vintage item and shows some signs of age and use. According to the original listing, there are no major noticeable scratches overall and the unit remains in very clean condition for its age.
The battery compartment is also clean with no leakage or rust.
Tested Functions
The following functions were tested with the unit connected to the charging cradle and AC adapter:

IMPORTANT - Battery
The included genuine Sony LIP-4WM lithium-ion battery is dead due to age and cannot be charged or used.
The unit was tested while powered through the AC adapter.
If you intend to use the MZ-NH1 as a portable player, you will need to obtain a compatible replacement battery separately.
