A quality set of six Continental unmarked silver apostle spoons with finely detailed cast finials of six apostles - St. Matthew, St, James the Greater, St. Bartholomew, St.Peter, St. James the Lesser, and St. Jude.
This set of silver apostle spoons is unmarked but is certainly of silver and not plated. It has not been tested but is most likely of 800 silver and Italian in origin, as the name of each saint is stamped on the reverse of the finial using the Italian abbreviation for each saint.The quality of the workmanship and detail of the casting of the finials and winged angel faces is superb. These likely date between c.1890-1940.
