This pattern captures one of the most recognizable silhouettes of the 1950s: a fitted, cropped jacket paired with a beautifully full pleated skirt and sharply defined waist.
Two jacket variations are included:
View 1: Fitted jacket with three-quarter-length sleeves cut in one with the bodice, buttoned tabs at the neckline and sleeve cuffs, and a dramatic contrasting ribbon scarf
View 2: Fitted jacket with a small rounded collar and cuffs
The coordinating skirt is designed with soft pleats for generous fullness and closes with a zipper at the center back.
This is a wonderful pattern for creating an authentic 1950s New Look-inspired outfit, especially when the full skirt is worn over a crinoline or petticoat.
