This Seiko Kinetic Sports SMY137P1 has an unusually attractive, tool-inspired design built around a highly legible black dial. Oversized Arabic numerals at 12, 6 and 9 balance the black day/date display at 3 o’clock, while broad arrow-shaped hands and substantial hour markers make the watch exceptionally easy to read.
The dial’s fine vertical texture shifts from deep black to graphite as the light changes. Its clean layout, prominent crown guards and power-reserve pusher give the watch a purposeful field-watch character without becoming visually busy.

DIAL AND HANDS
The highly legible black dial features a subtle vertical texture, large Arabic numerals at 12, 6 and 9, applied rectangular hour markers and a matching black day/date display.
The broad hands and hour markers retain strong Lumibrite, as shown in the photographs.
CASE, CRYSTAL AND BRACELET
A new double-domed crystal has been installed. Its curved profile adds depth to the dial and provides a clear view of the hands and dimensional hour markers.
The stainless-steel case has pronounced crown guards, a separate power-reserve pusher and an exhibition back displaying the Kinetic rotor and movement.
The factory stainless-steel bracelet has a signed Seiko fold-over clasp with a safety lock and micro-adjustment positions. It will accommodate up to approximately an 8 1/8 inch wrist.
SERVICE AND CONDITION
A new rechargeable capacitor has been installed. The watch is running and charging properly, and the day, date and power-reserve functions operate as intended.
The bezel, case, bracelet and clasp show numerous scratches and scuffs from regular use. The wear is distributed relatively uniformly across the watch, giving it a coherent, honestly worn appearance without one isolated area dominating its presentation. The newly installed crystal is clear, and the dial and hands remain especially attractive.
