Music Box mechanisms, otherwise known as movements, produce the beautiful sounds that make music boxes a beloved gift and a household treasure. Please note they only play approximately 18 notes of chorus and not the whole song.
The mechanism on this movement is encased in a white plastic shell that protects from dust but can be removed if you wish. The movement with shell measures 2-1/8"L x 1-7/8" W x 1-1/16"H. When fully wound it plays approximately 2-1/2 to 3 minutes of chorus. It winds from the bottom and a gold colored 23/32"L winding key is provided.
