This is a rare model of the mess kit used in the late Indian War period and Spanish American war. It is a good used condition showing field use. Solid over all with no re[pairs. A nice representative example. This is the rare round version of the mess kit with sloped edges much like a pie pan. Larger than typical mess kits. Fits well into the Span Am war haversack.
