• IMPORTANT: This is an unpressurised portafilter and works in a very different way to the original pressurised plastic portafilter that was supplied with your espresso machine. Please do not buy this item if you don’t know the difference between a pressurised and an unpressurised portafilter.

COMPATIBILITY ADVICE - if you are unsure if this item will fit your machine please send us details of the make and model before you purchase. We will be glad to help. PRODUCT PERFORMANCE ADVICE -If you are changing from a pressurised to an unpressurised portafilter you will have to invest time and effort to get the best from this product. This will include using fresh roasted coffee beans with a ‘roasted on’ date and grinding your coffee finer using a good quality stepless grinder. You may also need to reduce the pressure of the water coming out of the brew group. Doing nothing may lead to a very quick extraction with the resulting espresso having little or no creama. Bottomless portafilters may spray coffee everywhere if your system is not optimised.
