Runebound: Unbreakable Bonds (2017) is the expansion that finally added proper solo and cooperative modes to Runebound 3rd Edition.
Core additions:
• Full solo rules and cooperative rules so players can face the game’s challenges together or alone instead of competing.
• Two new heroes with plastic miniatures and full hero cards.
• Five scenario sheets total: two completely new scenarios plus reworked versions of three existing ones (including the one from the Caught in a Web expansion pack) now playable in co-op/solo.
• Large card and token package that supports the new modes: 26 story cards, 60 adventure cards, 30 skill cards, 10 twist cards, 20 asset cards, plus combat boards, combat tokens, damage tokens, story tokens, and prepare tokens.
The expansion keeps the core adventure-and-combat structure of Runebound 3rd Edition but shifts the focus from player-vs-player competition to fighting the scenario’s threats as a team (or alone). It is not a standalone product — the base game is required.
