A classic Richard Wheatley double-sided aluminum fly box featuring 32 individual spring-loaded lidded compartments. This timeless design is ideal for serious fly anglers, ensuring delicate dry fly hackles remain pristine without the crushing or matted hackles associated with traditional foam inserts. The secure lidded windows keep loose patterns contained, preventing gusts of wind from sweeping flies away while on the water. The box measures approximately 6 3/4\" x 3 1/2\" x 1 5/8\".

Regarding condition, the fly box functions properly, with all compartment windows, latches, and springs remaining intact and fully operational. The exterior aluminum casing shows a few minor, shallow dents, but the box continues to open smoothly and closes squarely and securely. The original outer card box is included and shows age and shelf wear, including surface grime, staining, blemishes, and tears in the cardboard as pictured. This is a 1609 model. Please note that this box is sold empty with no flies or lures included.
