NOTE #1 of 2: Each axle takes time to rebuild and are only built when an order is placed, so allow up to 12-14 business days for me to get the axles built as I have to schedule it in with other shop duties and customer cars that I am working on. Thanks.

Rebuilt rear axle that will fit r107 chassis Mercedes vehicles from 1971-1985 such as 380SL / SLC 450SL / SLC and other variants. Later SL\'s have a different axle, and if you are not certain, then email me and I may have an axle for your particular vehicle. Counterbalance weights (if on the inboard side of your existing axle) are not included and if your vehicle currently has counterbalance weights, you simply swap the weights over to the new axle. This rebuilt axle will come with new boots, new grease, new clamps. Axle is gone through and any worn parts are replaced. Good condition original axles are getting very hard to find (I am having to reject more and more as not rebuildable). I often go through 2-3 used axles to find one good one...I don\'t just \"re-boot\" a damaged axle, I inspect the internal parts for wear and bad axles are rejected for rebuilding. I use better than OEM grease is used inside the joints to provide long term wear protection. 1 year exchange warranty. I have never had a problem but do offer an exchange in the rare event that there is any issue (refunds not offered).
BONUS: Installation tips/tricks are available for buyers who complete buy axles from me free if you ask for them. These are based on my nearly 15 years experience as a classic Mercedes mechanic. Not advice by some random backyard mechanic on an online forum, but by someone actually in the trade. If you follow my tips, it will save you time andfrustration. Also, I am available for consultation on the removal/installation to buyers who buy my axles as a value add service if any issues arise.
