OOAK 1985 handcrafted 1:12 scale miniature violin and bow by noted miniature musical instrument maker Ralph E. Partelow.
Partelow specialized in finely constructed scale musical instruments, with his work documented in the miniature collecting community dating back to the 1970s. His work has also been featured by the International Guild of Miniature Artisans (IGMA), which specifically documented a 1:12 scale Ralph Partelow piano.
This individually made violin features fine stringing, raised bridge, fingerboard, tailpiece, tuning pegs and painted f-hole detailing. The separate handcrafted miniature bow is included.
The back is hand signed “Partelow,” dated “11-85,” and individually marked “V-74.”
The violin measures approximately 2.10” long and the bow approximately 2.53” long. Measurements are shown in the photos.
The violin and bow are in excellent pre-owned condition. Please review all photos for the craftsmanship, condition and fine details.
A scarce example of Partelow’s miniature musical instrument work, with his pianos and keyboard instruments much more frequently documented on the secondary market than his violins.
