Rare Napa Acoustic NA-208A hybrid integrated amplifier - please read
Very cool American made Hybrid (tube/solid state) integrated amplifier from Napa Acoustic. Usually not a \'please read\' guy but it\'s worth noting that only the CD input works perfectly (both with digital and analog sources) and sounds awesome; I have not tested the iPod input, and have noticed channel imbalance and static when using the AUX input. Please shop with this mind. Could be a simple fix but it\'s beyond my experience. Bass boost works great and you really do notice the difference. I believe Napa Acoustic is now defunct, but this integrated amplifier was well-reviewed initially and is likely 13-15 years old.
Something of a curiosity, but one that sounds great with a small footprint. This is not the bluetooth version (which came after) but rather the iPod-capable version (which, again, I did not test). Since the CD input works well, I\'d suspect the other inputs would benefit from an internal cleaning, but this is just speculation. Soundstage and character with a variety of speakers produced a very full, slightly warm sound. Weirdly, the amp also has a mini-aux jack on the front of the chassis, but I haven\'t tested that either. That said, please feel free with any questions and I\'ll do my best!
