Up for sale is a spectacular, museum quality piece of postal and aviation history. This is a matching three-cover set mailed on May 19,1938 from the small town of Lindsay, Oklahoma to three distinct global destinations London (England) Waialua Oahu and Calcutta India.All three covers are in mint condition and represent a highly sophisticated, synchronized global routing experiment by a forward thinking 1938 collector.Each cover is hand signed by legendary Oklahoma aviation pioneer Moss Patterson (President of the OKC aviation club) and explicity features his aircraft\'s tail number NC 17710. On a stomy moring of May 19, 1938 Patterson flew his 1937 Waco ZPF-7 open cockpit biplane on the first mail flight from Lindsay Oklahoma.All three covers have back stamps of their destinations.
