Offered here is Volume 8 (Tomus Octavus) — the concluding volume — of Dom Augustin Calmet\'s celebrated Commentarium Literale in Omnes ac Singulos tum Veteris cum Novi Testamenti Libros, a landmark verse-by-verse historical and literal commentary on Scripture, translated from Calmet\'s original French into Latin. This final tome covers the Epistles of St. Paul, the Canonical (Catholic) Epistles, and the Apocalypse (Book of Revelation) — closing out Calmet\'s monumental eight-volume commentary on the entire Bible. Printed in Venice by Sebastiano Coleti, part of the 1730–1732 Venetian printing. Large folio volume bound in contemporary limp vellum with tie closures. Binding shows significant age wear consistent with nearly 300 years of use — soiling, staining, a detached/loose board, worming and old tape repairs at the hinge, and incomplete ties; A genuine 18th-century printed antiquity, ideal for the collector, restorer, or scholar of biblical studies, early printing, or Benedictine scholarship.
