It features a powerful wrathful deity, most likely Mahakala or Vajrapani, showing that classic \"pot-belly\" shape and a fierce warrior stance that’s all about stomping out bad energy. For hundreds of years, this piece sat on a private altar, soaking up generations of incense smoke and devotion. Naturally, after all those centuries, the original old wooden base completely rotted away and just wasn\'t safe to use anymore. To keep the statue steady and show it the proper respect, the previous owner custom-made this gray base. They actually followed the old tradition of mixing in sacred incense ash gathered right from the altar shrine. It makes the piece rock-solid now, and honestly, the gray tone blends beautifully with the natural erosion and that deep, dark patina you only get on a genuine 300-to-400-year-old stone artifact.
