This is a one-of-a-kind original Redfield JR-IER scope base for the model Springfield \'03 bolt action rifle. These mounts were made in the 1960\'s to use with Redfield\'s Intermediate Eye Relief scopes. Redfield was way ahead of the time producing \"scout\" mounted scopes.The base has a built-in adjustable blade sight for using the rifle when the scope is removed. Obviously this mount will require gunsmithing and there are no mount screws present. Once done this will use any Redfield turn-in dovetail JR scope rings.
