This was found either in Nana\'s front room, or in her familyroom, after she passed. They were on hermantle or desk or bookcase shelves or console table or credenza or woodstove. She had doodads and tchotzkes onevery surface imaginable, some worth quite a lot for such a little thing, theothers being less expensive and a lot more utile.

This VINTAGE LARGE Mid-Century Modern Chalet Canada ArtGlass centerpiece bowl has an asymmetrical 6 point abstract design that displays a beautifullyharmonious use of blue colors, from clear, to light, to medium, and ends withan undercoat of cobalt. When peeringstraight down, this looks like an actual lake splash, as if someone dropped alarge rock and water shot up and out. The3 ‘arms’ of the ‘splash’ spin upward from the base and catch the sunlight onits glossy surface. Absolutelystunning. And RARE.

While we found many dark blue smaller pieces, we found onlyone blue one for sale similar to this piece. This is priced about 23% less thanthat. Also this particular 6 point styleis also RARE. The smaller pieces havemore options for color etc.

This is NEAR MINT with very, very little wrong. The only thing that we see, we’re not evensure if it is normal or not. The base isflat with thee spiral ‘splash arms’ circling upward. At the base, where the spiral starts, werewhat we first that were minor nicks. Now we think, that they were supposed tobe there. We ask you zoom in on thepictures. Whatever it is, it in no way lessens the appeal of this centerpiecebowl.

This is 10” wide and 5” tall.

This is the perfect gift for any person who loves MidCentury Modern, and the ocean, or lakes, and abstract Art Glass. It will workwith almost décor. Beauty trumps almosteverything. : )
