Exceptionally Rare Vintage Delman for Bergdorf Goodman Jeweled Rhinestone Slingback Heels With Original Box, Size 5½ MAn absolutely extraordinary pair of vintage Delman jeweled evening shoes originally sold through Bergdorf Goodman in New York, complete with their original Delman shoe box and period store labeling.These glamorous slingback heels are almost entirely covered in densely set rhinestones in beautiful shades of emerald, olive, chartreuse, moss and deep green, creating an incredible dimensional sparkle. The stones vary in size and tone, giving the shoes a rich, jewel-like appearance that photographs simply cannot fully capture.The interiors are marked and the original box identifies them as “GREEN JEWELED” with style/reference number EP 7473 W and size 5½ M. The original Delman Shoe Salon label on the box reads “Fifth Ave. at 58th – New York / Bergdorf-Goodman.”I have searched extensively and have not been able to locate another identical pair, making these an especially unusual find for a collector of vintage designer footwear, historic fashion, Bergdorf Goodman memorabilia, or mid-century eveningwear.The shoes have substantial weight in the hand due to the extensive rhinestone embellishment and feel much more like jeweled objects than ordinary vintage heels. They would be beautiful for display, archival fashion collecting, editorial styling, costume/reference collections, or potentially special-occasion wear depending on the buyer’s preference.These are genuine vintage shoes and show age-related wear consistent with their history, particularly to the interior footbeds and soles. There are some missing and/or loosened rhinestones, which should be expected with an extensively embellished vintage pair of this age.
