Antique Finn & Kelley silk top hat with its original labeled hat box from the well-known Boston hatters located at Bowdoin Square opposite the Revere House.
This handsome late 19th to early 20th century formal top hat features a black silk exterior, red satin interior lining, and the original Finn & Kelley retailer markings inside the crown and on the accompanying hat box.
The original hat box is missing the lid but still retains its impressive printed graphics and adds significant display and collector appeal.
Condition:
Exterior retains a nice appearance with expected age-related wear.
Interior red lining remains attractive with visible maker's logo.
Leather sweatband has visible deterioration and separation (see photos).
Interior shows wear consistent with age and use.
Original hat box exhibits age, surface wear, scuffs, and losses.
