This is an original R. A. Miller piece approximately 12.5\" long x 9.5\" wide of a rooster painted on cut tin. It is signed by Reverend Miller at the bottom margin.

Reuben A. Miller (1912-2006) was raised in rural Georgia, on the land where he was born. He worked as a farmer, cotton mill worker, and a preacher at the Free Will Baptist Church. Illness caused him to retire and he began creating artwork as a means of spiritual outreach. Reverend Miller created a hillside environment of whirligigs and tin cut-outs of devils, angels, animals, and even neighbors, such as the immortalized “Oskar”. Reverend Miller used discarded gutters that he flattened out with a hammer for his cut out silhouettes of animals or figures painted with enamel. He often used markers on Masonite to create cave-like drawings of dinosaurs. featured in R.E.M. music videos has been included in such exhibitions as Outside the Mainstream: Folk Art in Our Time at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta (1988) and Passionate Visions of the American South at the New Orleans Museum of Art in Louisiana (October 1993-January 1994).
Reverend Miller\'s work is included in the permanent collections of the American Folk Art Museum, the High Museum of Art, the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, the House of Blues, and the Telfair Museums.This is a vibrant rooster rare double sided
Due to its vintage age it does have some paint chipping but that adds to its charm. One of a kind piece and signed by the artist.
The artwork measures approximately 12.5\" x 9.5\" and came from an Estate of amazing art pieces which I will be listing some in the weeks coming.
