Appears to be the Fifth Edition, since this has the \"Preface to the Fifth Edition.\" 8vo, publisher\'s embossed pebbled brown cloth, stamped in gilt on spine, very good, light general wear and rubbing to binding, contents very good. 384 pp, in double columns with in-text engravings and preceded by a more heavily illustrated \"Physiological Introduction\" that includes 5 pages of thumbnail pictures of \"Oratorical and Poetical Gestures.\" Bronson apparently had some acquaintance with Edgar Allan Poe and may have been inspired to author this book because of his own speech impediments. Very good.
