You’re looking at a very nice 60’s vintage Prestigeguitar, made by Teisco. Teiscomanufactured these guitars for various retail outlets and they were sold underdifferent branding including Prestige, Kingston, and Recco, among others. This particular guitar is in overall verynice condition for its age. It includes twosingle coil pickups, two pickup selector switches, one volume control, one tonecontrol, a working chrome tremolo tail piece, and a chrome steel adjustablebridge.
The body is in good overall condition, having a few nicks,indentions, edge wear, etc., but in my opinion, far less wear than would be expectedfor a guitar of this age. The finish hasnatural age checking, but this is normal for its vintage, and still has a niceglossy look. It appears to me that aprevious owner may have done some minor touchup around the edges, but theguitar presents very nicely. All of thechrome pieces are bright and shine nicely.The control knobs are both in excellent condition.
The 3 ply laminated pickguard is in very nice condition. All of the mounting screws are in place, andthere are no cracks or broken corners.It shows pick scratches as you would expect from a vintage guitar. It all presents very nicely.
The neck is in exceptionally nice condition. The finish is very smooth and glossy. The strip tuner is also in very nicecondition and works as it should. Theheadstock is also in excellent condition and has the “Prestige” gold foil badgefirmly attached.

What I’ve done to prepare the guitar for sale
The pickguard was removed from the body for inspection.
Both pots were flushed and cleaned
Both selector switches were flushed and cleaned
The solder joints were refreshed
The tuner gears were lightly lubricated
All functions were tested
The bridge was replaced from my stock with one that matchedthe neck radius (approx. 10” radius)
A new set of light gauge strings were installed
The action was set using arc gauges and bridge adjustment
The guitar plays great with nice tone and volume. All controls work smoothly with no scratchy noise.To the best of my knowledge, allcomponents are original, with the exception of the bridge. However, when I removed the old bridge (which had a flat radius), therewere two sets of indentions in the body, and the bridge I installed matched thelarger indention. So I believe that atsome point, a previous owner had installed an incorrect bridge, and I replacedit with the correct bridge. All of this makes this guitar very collectable, notto mention fun to play. The tone outputhas that 60’s vintage vibe. The neck isstraight, and the action is low.

It seems I was ill informed. I just ran across a wonderful website that has corrected me. The manufacturer of this guitar was not Teisco, but rather SAKAI. The guitar pictured in the attached link is a \"Matador\", just another example of different branding by the same manufacturer.
