Pot. Hey Song 'Tian Mu' (also registered under the name Rhyncholaeliocattleya Hey Song 'Tian Mu') is a highly sought-after Cattleya-alliance hybrid orchid famous for its stunning, large, dark red or maroon flowers and an intensely strong, sweet fragrance. Originally hybridized by Ching Ruey Orchids in 1999, this award-winning clone is a favorite among collectors because its thick, waxy flowers can slowly shift colors—ranging from clean red and orange to deep reddish-maroon with golden accents.

🌸 Key Characteristics

The Blooms: Large flowers spanning over 5 to 6 inches across with a heavy, waxy texture that makes them last a long time.

The Color Spectrum: Often blooms in deep maroon or rich red with an golden-yellow throat, but because it is a clone of a unique mutation, individual plants can surprise you with shades of orange, peach, or mauve.

Bloom Time: It typically produces its gorgeous displays from fall through spring.

☀️ Care Guide

To keep your orchid healthy and push out massive new blooms, treat it like a classic Cattleya:

Light: Provide bright, filtered light. It loves morning sunshine (like an east window) or a shaded south window, but keep it out of harsh, direct midday sun so the leaves do not sunburn.

Watering: Let the potting media (usually chunky charcoal, bark, or coconut husk chips) get almost dry before soaking it thoroughly. Cut back on watering during the cold winter months when the plant rests.

Temperature: Thrives in intermediate to warm conditions. Keep it safe from freezing temperatures or freezing drafts.

Fertilizer: Feed with a mild, balanced fertilizer (like a weak 4-4-4 or 20-20-20 mix) every couple of weeks when it is actively growing new leaves and roots.

Repotting: Give it a fresh home every 1 to 2 years right after it finishes blooming, just as new roots begin to peek out.
