This two-pieceWall Hugger™bracket set is used to bolt the side of a 4x4 (3.5\"x3.5\") post or a 4x6 (3.5\"x5.5\") post (your choice) to a flat surface—like the rim joist or side/edge of a deck, fence, or a concrete wall.As pictured, each bracket is 8” tall. If your deck board is more narrow, let us know before ordering and we can design yours accordingly.
For the 2 Pc Brackets made for 4x4 (3.5\"x3.5\") posts and beams, we offer 2 heights: standard 8\" and a shorter 5.5\" Our shorter size is the same as the standard bracket, but has a height of 5.5” instead of 8”, for those who want a lower profile.
For all our brackets in this listing, there are four holes (sized for 1/2\" Lag Bolts) to attach the brackets to your post. For attaching the brackets and post to decks, four holes (sized for 1/2\" bolts) are present so that you may bolt all the way through your deck - - two holes on each side of the post. For concrete, you use the same four holes, but use 1/2\" concrete wedge anchor type bolts.
Note that if you have a concrete wall which slopes inward (like you may see in some of our pictures) we can make custom brackets to hold the post off the wall.You have to reach out to us before checking out so we can get the correct information from you and let you know the cost to make your custom brackets.
This listing is for a pair of brackets made to fit either dimensional 4\" x 4\" posts or 4\" x 6\" posts — just pick your choice when you checkout. WOOD POSTS AND BOLTS/LAG SCREWS ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH OUR BRACKETS; you can pick them up at your local Home Depot/Menard\'s/Lowe\'s/Ace Hardware store. Please note that unless you choose the powder coated option, these ship as raw, unpainted steel.
