Porsche Commemorative Edition 1988 USA Medallion - Replica. This is a custom reproduction of the commemorative coin that owners would have received when they purchased a car new from Porsche in 1988. Original coins are very rare and super expensive when they do come up for sale. I worked with a manufacturer and had seven revisions to the artwork before having the mold produced, which was used to create these coins. Due to the cost involved, I had a extras printed to cover the cost to get the coin for my 1988 CE coupe. Made from brass, with a brushed aluminum finish, perfectly to scale. The finish is not 100% match to the factory original, but it is certainly close! I had the word \'Replica\' added to the back of the coin so no one would think it was an intentional forgery. Just a basic collectible reproduction to add to the cars still in circulation! Priced to cover my costs only, not to profit. I hope these coins are appreciated by the collectible car community!
