The GMX7A uses vehicle-specific wiring and CANBUS integration to retain supported original vehicle functions rather than replacing them with a completely independent universal radio setup.
Depending on the original vehicle configuration, supported functions include:

*Steering wheel voice recognition button is not supported.

OEM Backup Camera Retention
On supported vehicles, the original backup camera can continue to work after installation.
This helps preserve the reversing setup already built into the vehicle while giving you the upgraded Android touchscreen interface.
Compatibility depends on the original camera and vehicle configuration.
⚠️ Factory Rear-Seat Entertainment
If your vehicle has a factory rear-seat entertainment system and you want to retain it after installing the GMX7A, an additional:

Built-in WiFi 6 supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks, allowing the stereo to connect to a smartphone hotspot or other available Wi-Fi connection.

4G LTE is not built in.
Mobile-network access requires a compatible external 4G dongle.

Note: Some streaming and copyrighted video services may block screen mirroring because of DRM restrictions.
AM/FM Radio with RDS
The built-in Silicon Labs SI4755 tuner supports AM/FM radio and RDS station information, letting you listen to local radio without relying on an internet connection.
DAB+ digital radio can be added in supported regions with a compatible optional Eonon DAB+ module.
